An inquiry report exposed that the City of Winnipeg paid too much $43 million for the downtown police headquarters due to unnecessary charges by contractors. The report also claims violations of public trust by former mayor Sam Katz and the former chief administrative officer, who lacked a moral compass. Meanwhile, the Winnipeg Jets are keeping an eye on updates on the suspension of goalie Connor Hellebuyck, with a potential return this week. Additionally, a collision to the north of Winnipeg resulted in one fatality and one injury.
