ITV News reported on 9 October that the UK and its allies rallied around the International Criminal Court in response to US sanctions targeting the tribunal. The move signals a clear split between Washington and its traditional partners over the tribunal's legitimacy.

The decision by allied governments to side with the court came shortly after the US imposed sanctions against the body. Analysts have noted that the divide may put pressure on longstanding diplomatic relationships between Washington and its allies.

Separately, King Charles covered the restoration costs for Prince Andrew. The arrangement drew attention given the continued uncertainty surrounding the prince's standing.

The PSNI also forwarded correspondence to Northern Ireland First Minister Michelle O'Neill in connection with a Garvaghy Road protest linked to the long-running Drumcree dispute. The letter suggests the possibility of a formal police interview, bringing fresh tension to a dispute that has persisted for decades.
