Facebook whistleblower Frances Haugen is drawing fresh attention as a new film, The Social Reckoning, puts her account before the public. Starring Mikey Madison and Jeremy Allen White, the film recreates her choice to expose Facebook's internal research.

Haugen told reporters she has "extreme worry" about a change in direction at Meta and believes Zuckerberg is making risky bets with AI. She said she hopes the film inspires others to act, telling The Verge she wants it to inspire more whistleblowers.
